A letter from our president, Teresa Chen
Dear Members and friends of Legend:
Congratulations to those who got trophies at November 3rd meeting!
The best speaker: L.J. Lamb
The best evaluator: Dr. Chao Huang
The best session master: Rebecca Sung
It was an enjoyable afternoon to experience Legend’s high quality meeting with you yesterday afternoon! Thank you for coming and taking an assignment. Your participation enriched our meeting. I really appreciate your encouragement and support for Legend. My sincere salute goes to the following dedicated members and distinguished guests:
Tom Cheng: great program designer. Carol Lai: professional Timer. Susan Yang: responsible Ah-counter.
Samantha Welsh: The firefighter of TM of the day, I really appreciate her support.
Josh Yang: Holding the whole meeting, without him, the meeting could not run as smoothly.
Rebecca Sung: Conducted a special variety session. She introduced different kinds of music and showed music videos on the screen. It’s very interesting.
Strong Speakers:
1. Iris Chang: She shared with us her transformation from teacher to a sales person. She told us if you want to be a great leader just being yourself, don’t care about other people’s opinion.
2. Ivonne Tseng: What is the moral of Ivonne‘s story? “Impossible vs I’m possible”. She told us that we should do our best to search for the cause and find solutions for each challenge we face, before we say no.
3. Iris Lee: She told us her personal of story how she benefits from Toastmasters club. And how useful the Toastmasters magazines are. ”Join Toastmasters, what are you waiting for?” she said.
4. L.J. Lamb: The whole audience had a lot of fun with laughter and surprise at his demonstration of an (un)successful Toastmasters meeting. He expressed his sense of humor and superb performance again.
Professional Evaluators:
Helen Holleman, Mike Yang, Dr. Chao Huang, and Tobie Openshaw: Their excellent evaluation skills and concise, powerful evaluation style is worth learning from.
Jack Tsai: General Evaluator. Thanks to our District Governor Jack for giving us more valuable suggestions, and opinions of the meeting. We benefited from his experience.
Susan Hsu: It was a very interesting Table Topic conducted by Susan. All the speakers demonstrated their creative imagination. Such as “If you had the power to kill 3 people, who would you want to kill? HsinChu club President Justin Wu told us that he wanted to kill his club IPP, His professor, and himself!
Finally, I would like to thank you all for your efforts. We learned and enjoyed a wonderful time at this meeting. See you on December 1st.
Teresa

Letters from the guests:
Dear Josh & All:
******************
Dear Teresa and friends:
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all members and friends of Legend for such a wonderful meeting on Saturday.
I enjoyed Legend meetings every time I have the chance to attend.
The participants are always well prepared. As a result, I can see the improvements from your members from meeting to meeting. You are the best examples how TM transforms people to great speakers and leaders.
Keep up the good work!
Sincerely
Chao

To all the Legend member and friends:
I would like to echo what Dr. Chao said about the meeting.
As I mentioned during the guests' comments session, enthusiasm is the key to a good meeting.
If the members are enthusiastic about learning communication and leadership skills, they will be prepared and the meeting will be a great success. I am convinced that enthusiasm and a desire for continuous improvement are essentials to making Toastmasters an ever-greater organization.
I look forward to attending your meeting again in the near future.
Best wishes,
L. J. Lamb

Dear Teresa and all the Legenders:
I am really glad that I attended your meeting.
By standing on the shoulders of you giants,
I know better about what a quality meeting should be like.
Thanks a lot.
I like L.J's speech, ironic in a really funny way.
If L.J could deliver speeches about organized a good club in our club,
CECI,
our members would learn a lot from it.
Again, thank you all.
See you in the Fall convention!
Regards,
Lynn

Sammy's Notes:
>> (Susan's table topic session )“If you had the power to kill 3 people, who would you want to kill? HsinChu club President Justin Wu told us that he wanted to kill his club IPP, His professor, and himself!
(If I were to talk about this table topic, my answer would be like this.)
First of all, I would kill the table topic master, so I could get out of talking painfully on stage like this.
And then, I would kill L. J., so he wouldn't go around to tell people about the bad quality of OUR meeting.
Finally, I would like to kill Vicky.
--> Because she is younger and prettier than me.
Session Master!
